Fidelity Increases Branch Network

Fidelity Bank Ghana Limited has increased its branch network from 25 to 40 branches.

The bank’s customer base also grew by 80 percent to 216,000 with a balance sheet of GH¢1.1 billion at the end of last year. This was made possible by the significant contribution of its sales agents – Fidelity Sales Ambassadors.

The Head of Marketing, Terrence Atta-Sonno, explained that the bank’s target is to become one of the top five banks in Ghana by the end of next year.

“We have big plans for Ghana and also for the market. This year, we plan to extend our technology range of products in the form of visa products and other transaction banking interventions that are supposed to bring convenience and speed to our customers.”

For the second half of 2011, the consumer banking group organised a competition for its sales ambassadors to energize and motivate them to perform better with the additional opportunity of winning some very attractive prizes.

The competition was opened to the hundreds of field sales ambassadors across the branch network of the bank from July till December 2011.

It climaxed the activity on Friday evening when it presented Paulina Aggrey, the best sales ambassador with a Hyundai i10 saloon car award.

Meanwhile, the bank has stated that it will provide more avenues for the field sales ambassadors to contribute to the growth the bank this year.
