The travel and tourism sector in Ghana alone generated 288,000 jobs directly for Ghanaians in 2016 and it grew by 4.7% in 2017 to 301,500. The growth rate is expected to grow year-on-year because Ghana tourism industry is expected to expand and grow by 5.1% over the next 10 years, according to The World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC).
