Ex-UK MP: Inspire youth to go into agribusiness

Former Member of UK Former Member of UK

Former Member of UK’s Parliament, Lord Paul Boateng has urged African leaders to inspire the youth to go into business especially agribusiness.

According to him, African governments can capitalise on the continent’s growing generation to improve the socio-economic conditions of its people.

Speaking during the 5th Atta Mills Memorial Lecture as part of the 5th anniversary to mark the passing of the late president in Accra, Lord Boateng said: “We need to inspire young people to go into business and agribusiness in particular as the late president sought to inspire.”

“Africa has enormous potentials not only to feed itself but to eliminate hunger and food insecurity on this continent but also more importantly, to be a major player in global food market . That is Africa’s potential,” he added.
