The annual event held in December by the management of Zaa Radio, a Tamale-based radio station, also aims at creating a dialogue on economic, political and social issues confronting northern Ghana as well as encouraging foreign direct investment in the area.

This year’s event, scheduled to be held in Tamale from December 9, to 10, will be on the theme: “Exploring Business Opportunities in Northern Ghana”.

Alhaji Mohammed Ibn Umar, Chief Executive Officer of Zaa Radio, who briefed journalists about the event in Tamale said its organization formed part of the mission of Zaa Radio to promote and advocate for progressive social and economic change in northern Ghana.

Alhaji Ibn Umar said since its inception last year, the event had taken root showcasing northern Ghana’s economic opportunities to all.

He said experts had been invited to speak on several topics including business formation and planning, government support and tax incentives, local business capacity development, access to capital and business growth potential amongst others.

He said “with unwavering commitment and efforts, we will promote new progressive ideas in creating a new type of entrepreneurs to bring greater benefits to the people in northern Ghana.”
