Enter into the unknown ventures - Glanderson

Accra, Dec 8, GNA - A Ghanaian entrepreneur, who specialises in panels manufacturing used in roofing, on Friday, urged Ghanaians to be innovative and industrious since a lot of business opportunities abounded in the country.

Mr Gladstone Anderson Agboloso Mensah, Managing Director of Glanderson Roofing Panel, told at a press conference in Accra that there were several avenues to making money in Ghana, but unfortunately a lot of people did not want to go beyond their professional training for other business ventures.

=93We have to look beyond just marketing and selling; we have to enter into manufacturing ventures to be able to compete with the Asian Tigers that started in the same way that we did,=94 he said. Mr Mensah said Glanderson Builderspak Limited, which was marking its 10th anniversary this month started as a small business that manufactured roofing panels that were different from the known. =93Our roofing panels marketed under the slogan 93no nails, no leakages=94 has become a household slogan and estate developers have ascertained that it was the best since it has a life span of about 60 years to 70 years.

=93No nails are driven into the panel. Rather they are held by clips nailed on the wooden planks and as nails are not driven into the panels they do not leak like other roofs,=94 he said. Mr Mensah said the 93no nails; no leaks roofing system=94 was not only changing the face of roofing in Ghana, but was welcomed by other West African countries such as Togo, Liberia and Nigeria. He said some of the major projects undertaken by the Company were the roofing of Burma Hall; Kofi Annan Peacekeeping Training Centre; Winners Chapel and Grace Outreach Church. He thanked the numerous customers, who have helped Glanderson Builderspak Limited to stay in business for the past 10 years and promised more innovative products in the coming year.
