Ecobank Transnational leads Accra Bourse Index Higher

Accra, July 21, GNA - The GSE-Composite Index (GSE-CI), the benchmark measure of performance of the Ghana Stock Exchange, rose 6.69 points to close at 1,183.06 points from 1,176.37 points.

The gain puts the year-to-date at 18.31 per cent.

The GSE-Financial Stocks Index (GSE-FSI), which tracks the performance of listed financial stocks, also went up by 10.52 points to 1,146.26 points from 1,135.74 points with corresponding year-to-date change of 14.63 per cent.

There were six price changes- equally shared between the gainers and the losers.

Ecobank Ghana gained GH¢0.01 to GH¢3.44, Ecobank Transnational Incorporated went up GH¢0.01 to GH¢0.15 and Unilever Ghana was up GH¢0.01 to GH¢7.52.

Enterprise Group Limited was down GH¢0.01 to GH¢0.47, HFC Bank slipped GH¢0.01 to GH¢0.35 and Produce Buying Company fell GH¢0.01 to GH¢0.27.

Market Capitalisation was up at GH¢20,424.51 million cedis from GH¢20,330.35 million.

Traded volumes were 175,513 shares, valued at GH¢101,871.58. More
