EPA issues ultimatum to industries

All industries in breach of their environmental management plans or still holding on to expired permits are being given up to the end of next month to become compliant or risk legal action.

Executive Director of the Environmental Protection Agency, Daniel Amlalo, gave this ultimatum during a release of the 2012 environmental ratings for manufacturing companies in Accra.

Progressively, the ratings show that compliance with environmental impact assessment procedures are helping industry to improve upon performance.
