ENI completes major gas supply upgrade to boost power - Ministry of Energy

The Ministry of Energy and Green Transition has announced that ENI has successfully completed its scheduled natural gas infrastructure upgrade.

According to the Ministry, the increase in gas supply from 245 million standard cubic feet per day (MMscfd) to 270 MMscfd has been fully achieved.

In a statement issued on July 14, 2025, the Ministry said, "This enhancement in gas supply is a significant step towards ensuring a reliable and sustainable energy supply for the nation. The increased capacity will support the power sector and contribute to the overall economic growth of Ghana."

ENI confirmed the increase in its natural gas supply by 30 MMscfd on July 13, 2025.

The Ministry extended its gratitude to ENI and all stakeholders in the power sector for their dedicated efforts in facilitating this critical upgrade.

It also reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring a consistent and dependable power supply for all Ghanaians.

"We also thank the people of the Republic of Ghana for their cooperation and understanding during the project’s implementation. Your support is invaluable as we work together to build a brighter energy future," the statement concluded.
