Dusk Capital launches #ConquerYourFears campaign

Dusk Capital Limited, a leading local financial institution has launched its #ConquerYourFears campaign which is aimed at removing fears from their customers but rather encourage them to invest.

According to the Chief Executive Officer of Dusk Capital, Bernard Osei-Tutu, the #ConquerYourFears campaign is necessary due to the fear most customers have towards investment.

“Within these few days and months, we’ve all known what has happened within the financial market. Every day we wake up with the news with either a collapse or a takeover by Bank of Ghana (BoG) of one bank here or the other so within the populace, there is that fear of what will happen next so everybody is adamant and saying I don’t know what to do again and nobody wants to invest again” he explained.

“So we thought of what is going on, and we were like this is the right time to start such a campaign that inasmuch as there are issues of difficult moments, we still think that there is a lot of ways that you can still invest” he added.

He noted that “around this time everybody is running away because of what is happening in the market, but we thought it wise as an investment banking firm that this is the time we have to make that call to all Ghanaians that it is the right to invest, hence #ConquerYourFears.”

Mr Osei-Tutu, however, expressed worry about how regulators of the bank issue lists of banks which the public should deal and not to deal with. He said it is very sad for his competitors to go through such an ordeal but “it is a wakeup call for all industry players to do the right going forward and put in the right structures, proper corporate governance so that we don’t fall peril.”

He said Dusk Capital is just doing the right thing and also learning from what is happening within the financial industry so that going forward they can do what is right.

He stressed that what is happening within the financial sector lately pushes people away from investing.

“It is in this regard that we thought it wise to launch the #ConquerYourFear campaign so that people will conquer that fear of deciding not to invest again,” he stated.
