Don't compromise on quality standards of products - Minister to Business Tycoons

The minister for Business Development, Mr. Ibrahim Mohammed Awal has admonished business moguls not to comprise on the quality standards of their product and services.

Mr. Mohammed Awal said the competitiveness of Ghana’s business environment depends on how seriously the business sector focuses on quality standards.

The minister said government on its part is putting measures in place to remove all bottlenecks that slow down the production process in order to reduce the pressure and difficulty that the business sector is faced with.

“Government will continue to help the business environment by creating the enabling environment but on your part, you must not joke with quality standards” he added.

Mr. Awal assured the business community that, the Nana Addo led government is prepared to create the most business-friendly economy in Africa led by the private sector to create jobs and prosperity for all Ghanaians.

“Government is boldly pursuing policies to address constraints within the business environment by optimizing the regulatory environment to reduce the cost and time of doing business,” he said.

The minister was speaking at the Ghana Business Quality Awards organized by the Entrepreneurs Foundation Ghana (EFG) under the auspices of the ministries of finance and business development in collaboration with the Ghana Standard Authority at the Banquet hall in Accra on Saturday, September 26.
