Officers of the customs division of the Ghana Revenue Authority have been urged to discharge their duties with much diligence and integrity so as to help the customs division achieve its targets for the year.
The Deputy Commander In Charge of Post Clearance Audit, Isaac Crentsil gave the advice at the 10th anniversary celebration by the customs Golden Jubilee group.
The celebration was also to encourage younger officers to support the vision of the GRA through dedicated service.
Isaac Crentsil charged to give off their best so as to make the customs division a world class revenue administration, recognised for professionalism, integrity and excellence.
The Chairman of the customs Golden Jubilee group, Samuel Owusu-Ansah charged officers to maximize their efforts in enforcing laws on restrictions and prohibition.
“Laws and prohibitions and restrictions ought to be enforced to the latter, narcotic controls and drug trafficking as well as human trafficking is one area we cannot sit aloof and look whiles perpetuators have a field day. Necessary actions will have to be taken to wipe this veritable canker out of the system,” he said.
He also charged members of the group to be united so as to ensure that the group succeeded.
