Country to Receive 230,000 Dollars from IFC

Ghana is to receive 230,000 dollars from the International Finance Corporation (IFC), the World Bank's investment arm, to support a computer training school in Accra.

A statement said the IFC was providing the money in an overall investment of 508,000 dollars in NIIT Computer Training Institute under a franchise agreement with an Indian company.

The statement did not state when disbursement would begin.

The school is helping young Ghanaians to learn valuable information technology skills the country needs to be able to cope with globalisation, the free flow of people, goods, services and information.
