Coca-Cola Outdoors New Drink

The Coca-Cola Bottling Company of Ghana (TCCBCG) has on Monday launched a new Fanta drink, "Fanta Fruit Cocktail", in Accra.

The General Manager of TCCBCG, Mr. Segun Ogunsanya said the company has noticed that the fruity segment has been one of the fastest growing segments of their business.

He said a survey conducted last year revealed that Fanta Cocktail has the potential of attracting drinkers of other drinks and 40% who preferred Fanta Cocktail to their current flavour, said they will buy and consume it if it were available in the market.

He said Fanta Cocktail has been successful in other markets such as Senegal, Cote d'Ivoire, Burkina Faso and Guinea. "Our targets for the cocktail are the teens and young adults," he said.

Fanta Cocktail is a soft drink that combines orange, lemon, mango and pineapple.

The Guest of Honour for the launch, Mr. Kwame Tuffuor-Afram unveiled the new product and said it would motivate farmers who produce fruits to increase their production since the company may require more fruits.
