The first Chilean business delegation to visit Ghana will be in the country on Monday, 29th June, 2015. The one-day programme will take place at Alisa Hotel in Accra.
The trade mission is being organised by the Embassy of Chile in Ghana in collaboration with the Ghana Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI) and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration of Ghana.
The visit is in response to an invitation by Hanna Serwaah Tetteh, Minister for Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration, during an official visit to Chile in February 2014, which was aimed at further strengthening the political, economic and cultural ties between the two countries.
The multi-sector trade delegation will consist of 12 companies and the areas of products to be considered are: wines, fresh fruit, dried fruit, frozen fruit, juices and fruit concentrates, and frozen sea food.
A statement from the Embassy of Chile stated that this visit will provide the Chilean companies the opportunity to establish ties with local distributors and agents and to have business to business meetings in order to explore possible partnerships in each of the sectors they represent.
“It will also be an opportunity for local Ghanaian businesses to showcase their products, and seek potential markets in Chile.”
