ISO/IEC 27001 is one of the most widely recognized and internationally accepted information security management system standard. The standard encompasses all the Bank’s people, processes & technology, and guarantees the robustness and quality of CalBank’s risk management processes.

The ISO/IEC 27001 standard gives us, our customers and business partners the assurance and confidence that we are processing valuable data in a managed and structured way that mitigates as much of the security risk as possible.

Following a rigorous process of demonstrating an ongoing and systematic approach to managing and protecting the Bank’s and customer data, and validation from an independent audit firm, CalBank was accorded the certification.

The certification also demonstrates the Bank’s commitment to the continual improvement of its digitized environment in line with regulations and also for the security of its people, clients processes and technology.

At the presentation of the certificate, Head of Information Security, Mrs. Henrietta Polley stated, “it is important to note that the ISO 27001 journey never stops. The Bank will consistently review and enhance its security controls to maintain the certification”.


Mrs. Adedoyin Odunfa, CEO of Digital Jewels, consultants on the implementation and certification process of the ISO 27001 stated that, “together with the dynamic team of CalBank we followed a rigorous and painstaking process to implement the ISO 27001 standard in an efficient and effective manner, climaxing in a Certification Audit with Zero Non-Conformities”.


Mr. Frank Adu Jnr., MD of CalBank added that “this achievement underscores the Bank’s digitization drive and its commitment to information security in line with industry best practices, and the delivery of an assured, secure, and proven products and services to our customers. The fact that we achieved this certification without any major or minor issues is a testament to our outstanding services and support team. CalBank is also PCIDSS compliant and certified.
