COCOBOD awards three farmers

The Ghana Cocoa Board (COCOBOD) has presented a cash prize of 15,000 Cedis to three cocoa farmers who distinguished themselves at the 2017 Cocoa of Excellence and International Awards held in Paris, France.

The three are John Kofi Asiamah-Kukurantumi, Tafo District, Simon Marfo, Santaso, Western South District, and Noah Obeng Ntrikrom, Mankranso district.

The Cocoa of Excellence event is the entry point for Cocoa Producers to participate in the International Cocoa Awards.

The ICA is a global competition which recognises and celebrates quality, flavour and diversity of Cocoa according to their origin.

Speaking at the presentation ceremony of the 2017 Cocoa of Excellence Awards in Accra, Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Cocoa Board, Joseph Boahen Aidoo expressed gratitude to the Farmers for making Ghana proud on the International World.

He further challenged the farmers to put in extra effort to ensure they can be recognised globally.
