CITYLINK to extend services to Tamale, Takoradi

Accra, April 17, GNA - CTK Aviation, operators of CITYLINK, which offers both domestic and charter airline services, says it will extend its daily flights to Tamale and Takoradi.

Currently, the company operates daily flights between Accra and Kumasi and also provides charter services in the West African sub-region.

Speaking to the Ghana News Agency ahead of the launch of the flights later this month, Ms Rachel Bimpong, CITYLINK's Media Liaison Officer, said the move formed part of a comprehensive expansion programme being rolled out by the organisation to provide regular and frequent flights to the three top local business destinations outside Accra.

She said the company had already added a new 33-seater SAAB 340 and 19-seater LET 410 to its existing fleet.

She said CITYLINK would provide two return flights daily from Accra to Kumasi and a return flight each to Takoradi and Tamale, respectively. Ms Bimpong said by the close of 2006, clients of the Airline would be able to book their discounted tickets online. CTK Aviation, established in 1993, has an enviable safety and reliability record, making it a preferred air transport provider in the sub-region.

Several corporate groupings, including Ghana Goldfields Limited, Shell and some foreign embassies, depend on CTK Aviation for their charter services.
