CEPS exceeds revenue target at KIA

Accra, Jan. 25, GNA- The Customs, Excise and Preventive Service (CEPS) netted 337.20 billion cedis as revenue at the Kotoka International Airport (KIA) for 2003.

This represents an increase of 12.96 per cent of the annual revenue target of 298.54 billion cedis for the year.

Mrs Nina Addy, CEPS Sector Commander of KIA Collection Office, announced this at an end-of-year reception of the Service in Accra on Saturday, during which she and six other officers were honoured for their hard work.

She admonished the personnel to work hard and maintain high standards of discipline to improve on the record this year.

Mrs Addy commended revenue stakeholders at KIA for their co-operation during the last year and said the Aviation Turban Kerosene Unit for instance responded timely to request for revenue figures, while the Courier Unit lived up to its revenue responsibilities.

Mrs Hanna Acquah, received the best Senior Worker Award, whilst the best Junior Worker Award went to Mr Richard Dadibo.
