CAL, EIC, Ecobank gains push bourse up

Accra, Nov. 10, GNA - Gains by CAL and Ecobank pushed the Ghana Stock Exchange (GSE) index up on Friday as the Accra bourse ended a good week.

The GSE All-Share Index ended the day up by 2.56 points at 4,987.58 points. This compares with week's opening figure of 4,977.62 points. Change to date was also better at 4.58 per cent.

Ecobank Ghana gained 46 cedis at 13,051 cedis, Enterprise Insurance Company was five cedis richer at 8,005 while CAL went up by 50 cedis at 1,800 cedis.

Total shares traded was down at 310,700 from 404,400 on Thursday bringing total shares traded this week to 834,000. Market capitalisation jumped to 11,176.66 billion cedis from 112,161.26 billion cedis.
