Business leaders and Chief Executive Officers (CEOs) of various companies in Ghana are expected to converge on the Accra International Conference Centre on November 21, to strategise for 2013, at the Ghana Economic Outlook and Business Strategy Conference.
The conference, which is being organized by the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC), Dominion University College (DUC) and other collaborators, is on the theme “Strategy for a Good Year 2013.”
Speaking at a news conference to launch the programme, Dr Ekwow Spio Gabrah, President of DUC, said “the conference will provide a platform towards the end of the year for the business community to adequately strategise for the following year, based on the economic outlook as will be presented by a number of economic experts.”
He explained that “strategic planning for businesses is almost always in the last quarter of the year, so most companies will not develop their 2013 strategic planning in April, May or June; they would tend to develop it in October, November or December, taking into consideration the global projections for interest rates, exchange rates and inflation.”
He emphasised that the conference would also allow for private public sector collaboration and enable them to share knowledge.
The event is expected to offer participants the opportunity to have insight into the plans and projections of managers of the economy and also foster a healthy business networking discussion among CEOs from top corporate institutions in Ghana.
