Umbrella sellers at Kejetia in the Kumasi Metropolis have recorded high sales in business during this year's rainy season.

Speaking to Otec News reporters’ Acheampong Fremah Nadia and Adu Gyamfi Priscilla, one umbrella retailer, Mr. Ernest, revealed how the season has helped him to generate a lot of income.

According to him, he can sell over 16 boxes of umbrellas in a day and make over GHc500 as a profit for the day, as compared to previous months where he had to sell at about one box a day.

“Before the rains, I find it very difficult to sell even one box a day. Sometimes they won’t buy some at all. Now that t is raining, people are buying the umbrellas so I make a lot of profit. Sometimes I get Ghc500 and sometimes too I get Ghc700. I can sell 15 to 20 boxes a day.”
