BoG boss ‘secretly’ releasing collapsed financial institutions’ cash – Adongo exposes Addison

Isaac Adongo, Member of Parliament (MP) for Bolgatanga Central Constituency has alleged that Bank of Ghana (BoG) Governor is encouraging the backdoor payment of monies to some customers of collapsed financial institutions by the receiver.

Millions of Ghanaians have had their monies locked up with Banks and Savings and Loans companies that have since seized operations following a decision by the central bank to revoke their licence.

A receiver who has been appointed by the BoG to pay off customers and recover debts and assets of the now defunct financial institutions is still in the process of validating claims of customers in order for them to be paid.

In a Tweet sighted by MyNewsGh.com, Isaac Adongo accused Dr Ernest Addison of fuelling the payment of customers who are known to top officials of government.

“Who you know in receivership dealings”? He questioned.

According to the vocal critic of the Bank of Ghana Governor who doubles as a Member of the Finance Committee of Parliament, Dr. Ernest Addison advised a Member of Parliament to see the receiver privately if he wants his locked up cash to be paid.

“The Ghana of the Bank of Ghana today advised a Member of Parliament at a Finance committee meeting to see the receiver of the collapsed financial institutions privately for his monies that are locked up. This is how unethical it gets” he wrote.
