Big Fat Zero draw held in Tamale

Fidelity Bank has held its second draw for the second phase of the ongoing Fidelity Big Fat Zero promotion at its Tamale Branch in the Northern Regional capital.

Three lucky customers of the bank had zeros added to their maintained balances.

Albert Atta Coleman of the Adum Post Branch in Kumasi, Victor Amenyo of the Hohoe branch and Hope Ahiadu of Trade Fair branch in Accra obtained GH¢10,000, GH¢9,030 and GH¢10,000 respectively.

Ten lucky customers were also presented with 24 carat Gold Coins each valued at GH¢1300 during the draw.

Explaining the bank’s innovative banking model known as Agency Banking and the Smart Account, Selorm Cofie-Atta, Director of Consumer Banking of Fidelity Bank, told the gathering that the bank’s Smart Account enables the unbanked and under banked to open and operate accounts with minimal KYC requirements in less than five minutes with as little as GH¢10.

She stated that in order to ensure convenience and bring banking to the doorsteps of the public, the bank was in the process of rolling about 100 branches and 1,000 agent points within the next three years.

Mrs. Coffie-Atta said the Big Fat Zero promotion grand draw had been scheduled to take place in April, adding “the stakes are higher in that draw, we would give out a lot more gold coins and one lucky winner would receive not one but two Fidelity Zeros.”

Sharon Oko-Matey, Head of Customer Care at Fidelity Bank, reiterated the bank’s commitment to roll out innovative promotions that would enrich its customers and give them the power to pursue their dreams and aspirations.

“Contrary to the widely held view that zero has no value, at Fidelity Bank we believe a zero can make a huge difference. In this regard, the Bank introduced the innovative Fidelity Big Fat Zero Promotion to impact lives whilst inculcating in Ghanaians the culture of savings.”

The Metropolitan Chief Executive (MCE) of Tamale Hanan Gundadoo commended the bank for extending its services to area and said their effort was creating jobs for the youth.

He urged the traditional rulers to support businesses like Fidelity Bank to thrive in the region so they in turn would serve as ambassadors and also create jobs.

Fidelity Bank launched the Fidelity Big Fat Zero promotion in August 2013 to reward its loyal clients, as well as new clients.

As part of the promotion, existing customers are required to maintain a minimum balance of GH¢300 for at least a month to stand a chance of obtaining zeros.
