Barclays bank loans still on stream

Ho, June 17, GNA - The Communications Manager of Barclays Bank Ghana Limited, Mr Gayheart Edem Mensah, on Tuesday dismissed rumours that the bank has stop giving out loans to its customers. Speaking to the Ghana News Agency at Ho, Mr Mensah said: "the bank is still giving its 'Scheme' and 'Barclay' loans to its cherished customers" and urged them to disregard rumours to the contrary. He said Barclays bank could not have run out of cash as was being rumoured, and that several loan applications were being processed and approved everyday. Mr Mensah explained that, the large number of loan applications have slowed down the speed at which those applications were normally processed and paid out to applicants. He said the bank was working hard to clear the backlog of loan applications and appealed to its customers to bear with the apparent delay.
