Barclays Opens Two New Prestige Centres

Barclays Bank Ghana will be opening two new Prestige Centres on Wednesday, December 5, 2001 at the Millennium Heights Building and Spintex Road in Accra.

The opening of these two centres brings to five the number of Barclays Bank Prestige Centres in Ghana. The other three, which have been operating for the past 18 months, are located in Osu and High Street Centres, in Accra and the Asokwa-Kumasi centre.

The opening of the centres coincides with a two-day visit from London by Chris Lendrum, Barclays Bank's Chief Executive Corporate Banking. Mr. Lendrum will, as part of his visit, also inspect some of the Bank's Africa Community Support Programmes before returning to the UK."Prestige Banking is for the discerning customer, to whom convenient banking is a premium," says Mr. Kobina Quansah, Managing Director, Barclays Bank Ghana.

"As one of the innovative products Barclays Bank has introduced, Prestige Banking is an exclusive club with members paying a token fee for express services, in a relaxed atmosphere with coffee, tea and newspapers both foreign and local at his disposal".
