Banking Stocks push index up

Accra, Nov. 12, GNA - Five share price appreciations push the GSE All-Share Index, the main index of the Ghana Stock Exchange up by 0.48 points to close at 5,850.93 points compared to 5,850.45 points. Shares that changed hands stood at 30,200 shares. Change for the year inched up at 16.88 per cent. On the broader market, there were five price changes, all positive. CAL Bank was 0.0001 GH cedis better at 0.3808, Ecobank Ghana also gained GH=A2 0.0001 at GH=A2 1.6527, Ghana Commercial Bank went up 0.0002 at 0.9605 GH cedis, Guinness Ghana Breweries Limited was 0.0002 GH cedis at 1.2113 GH cedis and Standard Chartered Bank gained 0.0100 GH Cedis at 24.1200 GH cedis. Market capitalisation was up marginally at GH=A211,856.24 million compared to GH=A211.855.95 million.
