BAT de-lists from the Ghana Stock Exchange

Accra, Aug. 31, GNA - The Listing Committee of the Ghana Stock Exchange (GSE) has approved the voluntary de-listing of British American Tobacco (Ghana) Ltd (BAT).

A statement issued by the GSE in Accra on Friday said the last trading date in BAT Ghana shares on the bourse was August 31, 2007 and BAT Ghana would be taken off the GSE Official List on September 1, 2007. BAT's closing price on Friday was 0.4266 GH cedis. It had 69.13 issued shares with market capitalisation of GH 29.49 million cedis. BAT has closed down its manufacturing outlet at Takoradi and said it would import cigarettes from its companies in the sub-region.
