A start-up technology and investment company in Ghana, Comfortable Life Technologies and Investment (CLTi) Ltd, has launched an online service for the Ghanaian automobile market.

The service, which is being delivered under the brand name Auto Dad, brings automobile dealers, service providers, and customers together in a simple, efficient and effective manner to conduct business.

This was disclosed on Class 91.3 FM’s start-up business show yesterday, Wednesday 19th July, 2017, when host Michael Katahena had a one-on-one engagement with one of the company’s founders, King A. Wellington, in Accra.

Mr Wellington indicated that Auto Dad is a tailored service specifically developed for the automobile industry. He also explained that automobile users could use Auto Dad to, amongst other things, locate automobile service providers nationwide, trade automobiles and parts as well as conduct other ancillary tasks such as checking and comparing prices, get real time information about dealers and service providers and the services or products that they offer.

“We have currently launched our service providers’ platform which is one out of the four platforms we plan to implement and it sits on the sub-domain www.services.autodad.com.gh.”

This web application is ideal for automobile service providers such as auto repairers, locksmiths, car rental firms, fuel retail outlets (OMCs), driving schools, washing bays, and many more to use as a tool to reach their target market.

“This is because it is a location-based system which service providers can use to aid their customers to locate their service centres with ease in real time and automobile users can also use it to access information about service providers in real time including getting directions to a provider via an online map functionality,” he said.

On explaining why CLTi decided to pursue the idea, he explained that although Ghana’s automobile industry is huge, there is still room to use digitisation as a catalyst to improve the industry in terms of service delivery.

“There are various challenges consumers are facing in the market such as the inability of consumers to get access to services or products without being physically in the market, difficulty in locating service providers with ease, inability to conduct price comparison for both automobile services and products such as spare parts without being physically in the markets as well as getting access to detailed real time information.

“These challenges are amongst issues Auto Dad is solving,” he added.

Auto Dad’s vision is to become a world leader in making the world a better place through delivering perfect services and products for the automobile industry.
