Asokore Mampong youth empowered under NBU project

A youth empowerment program under NBU Project, dubbed " Screw up moment" has successful been held by facilitators of the project.

The day's program which was organised for the youth of Asokore Manpong municipality sought to engage attendants through a series motivational talk from successful young entrepreneurs and businessmen as a way of heightening their level of optimism in the dreams and visions they carry in life.

The audience were empowered to know the realities of life and the need for them to stay strong in whatever dream they are pursuing at the rise of challenging situations.

It again provided an avenue for the youth to learn and acquire inspiration and motivational ideas from the failures of other successful young entrepreneurs, to ensure that the youth network interacts with the private sector and successful young professionals.

Speaking during the event, Dr Samuel Tinagyei who is the founder for Mandate Books after sharing his life story visavis the hard moments he encountered before becoming successful challenged the youth within the municipality never to give up in any positive agenda they pursue in life even if they fail.

Failure according to his definition is part of life and that whoever is afraid of failure is afraid of success.

Dr Tinagyei challenged them to take a cue from the life story of great men and the number of times they failed before attaining greatness life, adding that "if they had stopped at their first failure, they wouldn't have been where they are now".

Other speakers who graced the occasion to whip up the interest of the audience were Ms Francisca Ampratwum who is an entrepreneur and a certified medical practitioner, Mr Kojo Ewusie CEO for Showers Group of Companies and Mrs Rita Krampah a Corporate Trainer.

Speaking to the coordinator for NBU Project Madam Esther Matey in an exclusive interview, she indicated that it is high time youth were empowered to overcome their failures so as to help them actualize their visions. NBU Project she underlined is committed to ensuring that youth of Asokore Manpong municipality are well positioned to make it in life. The event was open to all class of youth including those who are not enrolled in the entrepreneurship and employability program.
