The Chief of Staff Julius Debrah has indicated that the next administration of President John Dramani Mahama would make Ashanti region the business hub of Ghana.

In an interaction with the media on his first day of his five day tour of the Ashanti region the Chief of Staff said his message is not going to insult or attack personalities, but to explain in detail to the people what the next administration of President Mahama would do for the people of the Ashanti region.

Already, President Mahama had committed to reviving the Aboso glass factory. Establish a tomato factory and revive cocoa production in Akomadan and other viable factories including the setting up of A Jewellery village and gold market at Tepa in partnership with KNUST.

Besides the Komenda Sugar Factory in the Central region, the revived GIHOC distilleries, the Shea Nut factory and the Kumasi Shoe factory, more factories are to be established. Priority will also be given to defunct ‘Kwame Nkrumah Factories which prove viable today.

He said "Ashanti region would be the entrepreneurial paradise of Ghana under the next administration of President Mahama."

He noted that, his message is not to insult or talk about people's way of dressing but to deal with critical issues of what the NDC intends to do in it's next administration if given the opportunity.

"If a political party wants the people to vote for them, I think you need to go to the people to explain to them why you need their vote. We have resolved to go to every nook and cranny of the country , every village, every hamlet and tell them what we intend doing for them," he stated.

According to him, it is the believe of the NDC to give opportunity to all the political parties to explain their vision and intentions for the people to make informed decision on who to vote for on Dec 7.

He said "the NDC has a solid record of achievements and all the realistic ideas we have been sharing to the people are etched in our manifesto which aims at catapulting Ghana to greater heights of progress, where job creation would be pivotal in the scheme of things.

He stated that the next NDC government under President Mahama shall continue to create opportunities for all irrespective of political colouration or pursuasions. Saying, we are a government that cares for the people, the reason we want to empower the people economically by supporting them to establish their own business ventures/enterprises.
