Asantehene entreats automobile industry to be vibrant

The Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, has interacted with the management of the Stallion Group Limited, at his Manhyia Palace in Kumasi, urging them to strive to expand their operations.

He said the automobile distribution company, distributors of Honda, Hyundai, Audi, Skoda and Ashok Leyland, should establish a strong presence in the country by getting an assembling plant for production purposes to create employment and also boost the economy.

This, he said, was possible following Stallions success story in Nigeria where the company had opened exciting frontiers of motoring to the people and providing them with first-hand experience of world-class automobiles as enjoyed by the developed countries.

The delegation was led by Mr. Mahesh Mahtani, Country Director of the company. The visit aimed to officially inform the Asantehene of Stallions presence in Kumasi and also seek his support to enhance their activities.

Otumfuo Osei Tutu advised the company to strive for excellence in the course of their work to enable them to satisfy the needs of their customers.

Mr. Mahtani said Stallion operates through a string of showrooms and after sales centres spread all across the West African sub-region. It could also boast of the latest diagnostic machines to service the various brands at all times.

Mr. Mahtani noted that the company’s strategy has been to stay close to the customers, understand their needs and exceed their expectations.
