Students have been challenged to embrace change, develop positive attitudes towards entrepreneurship and improve upon their communication skills in order to meet changing market demands.

“Current job market requires extra creativity and innovation in addition to the higher educational knowledge, to make a difference and ensure change,” the Pro.Vice- Chancellor, Academic and Student Affairs, Professor Kwame Offei has said.

He gave this advice at a graduation ceremony held for 400 graduates at the University of Ghana Business School over the weekend in Accra.

Prof. Offei stressed on the need for students to work hard, dream big, plan ahead and be ethical and honest in all their dealings so as to achieve success.

He said authorities of the University were dialoguing with the government and other partners on how best to position the school to play a more relevant role in the development and transformation of the country.

“With support, it is our aim that the University of Ghana will be transformed into a research University with greater emphasis placed on post-graduate work and research, “he said.

He highlighted some of the achievements of the University over the past years in the areas of learning, financial aid for students, research, innovation and development governance as well as physical development.

He urged them not to be intimidated by challenges adding that “courage and resilience is what is needed when confronted with challenges.”

Mr. George Osei- Bimpeh Country Director of SEND GHANA urged students to cultivate the habit of hard work and honesty in all their dealings in order to be successful.

He appealed to students not to underestimate what they have achieved during their stay of learning but rather put it to good use wherever they found themselves.
