Adepa fun club launched to boost SMEs in Ashanti Region

Small scale business and farmers within the Sekyere-Kumawu district of the Ashanti are set to see a boost in their businesses, following the official introduction of the Adepa fan club, a pro Npp support based group that exists to offer financial support to traders.

This was announced when some leaders of the group met with some constituents at the Sekyere Kumawu Distrct Assembly Hall to brief them on what Adepa Fun Club is and also to recruit interested members.

Addressing the people present, Treasurer of the Adepa fun club, Accra, Cynthia Amoako, indicated that the main focus of the Adepa Fun club is to offer soft loans to traders who need capital to either start or expand their businesses. The group also through it activities engages traders on initiatives of the Akufo-Addo Government that has been rolled out by Government to make life easier for Ghanaians.

“ We believe that Government should not be left with the burden of ensuring that businesses are provided with the needed support, that is why as members of the New Patriotic Party we came together to pull our resources aimed at providing traders and entrepreneurs who need support with some capital so they stand on their feet and expand their business and employ more people.

Very soon we will inaugurate the Sekeyere Kumawu Adepa Fun and it is our hope and prayer that just as we have supported other businesses to develop we will provide you with the needed financial resources to ensure that your businesses grow, while we do that we will also educate you on what the Akufo-Addo Government is doing to bring relief to every Ghanaian, she said.

Deputy Minister for Trade and Industry, Hon.Robert Ahomka-Lindsay who was also present at the gathering lauded the leadership of the Adepa Fun Club for showing Interest in establishing a branch in Sekyere Kumawu after he had appealed to them to ensure that Sekyere Kumawu becomes a beneficiary of the good things they have been doing for traders across the country.

“ The establishment of Adepa Fun Club here in Sekyere Kumawu will be a very big boost for businesses in this district, that is why I am pledging a seed capital of GHC 20,000 to what Adepa Fun Club is already bringing to traders, this is to help Adepa transform the businesses of traders in Sekyere Kumawu while Government also continues to roll out measures that empowers Ghanaians to actualize the President’s vision of a Ghana Beyond Aid.

Adepa Fun Club was established in the year 2008 to offer financial support to traders and also to trumpet the achievements of the New Patriotic Party to traders The Fun Club has branches in Makola and Kumasi.
