Acting Director General of GPHA meets management and staff

The Minister of Transport, Kweku Ofori Asiamah has finally handed over to the acting Director General of the Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority, Paul Asare Ansah.

Prior to his appointment, the Minister of Transport was overseeing activities at the port authority.

At a management meeting Kweku Ofori Asiamah charged the acting Director General to bring everyone on board towards ensuring that the authority attained its vision.

The Directors of both Tema and Takoradi Ports pledged their support for the new Director General.

The acting Director General, Paul Asare Ansah promised to work with management to meet the expectation of the business community.

Earlier, Paul Ansah met the Port Ladies Association (PLASS) who congratulated him on his appointment on behalf of all female staff of the authority.

The port ladies promised to work assiduously and also back the vision of the Director General.

On his part, Paul Asare Ansah promised to create equal opportunities for women in the port industry.

He was also the guest of honor at the junior staff durbar where he was received with resounding welcome.

Addressing the durbar, he promised to make the welfare of staff a priority in addition to creating a business environment for the port business to thrive.
