Accra bourse sees dramatic day

....as several equities smile
The Accra bourse recorded a dramatic day on Friday with four equities making major gains that pushed the main index into record territory.
The index went up by 53.00 points to 1,570.40 points from Wednesday's close of 1,517.40 points.
There were four price changes, all positive. SSB Bank responded positively to Societe Generale, one of the biggest banks in the eurozone, taking over majority shares of 50.72 per cent by jumping up by 1,595 cedis to 5,812 cedis.
Enterprise Insurance Company was 151 cedis richer at 5,001 cedis, Ghana Commercial Bank was 50 cedis up at 4,650 cedis and Unilever rose by 94 cedis to end the day at 5,000 cedis.
Change in the year was 12.55 per cent.
Market capitalisation was ?,316.38 billion from 7,187.83 billion cedis.
