Accra bourse index inches up

Accra, July 3, GNA - The GSE-All Share Index, the benchmark measure of performance on the Accra Bourse, inched up in trading on Thursday but volumes traded slumped.

The index gained 0.59 points at 10,352.76 from 10,352.17 points. Change year to date now stands at 56.87 per cent. Traded volumes slumped to 45,300 from 4,461,900 on Wednesday when there were block sales in CAL Bank and the State Insurance Company (SIC), which sold over 2.5 million shares and 1.5 million shares respectively.

There were two price changes, both positive.

Fan Milk Limited (FML) went up GH¢0.01 at GH¢3.63 while Standard Chartered Bank was also GH¢0.01 better at GH¢30.84. Market capitalisation ended the session up at GH¢15,592.01 million compared to GH¢15,591.63 million at the previous close.
