Accra bourse inches up

Accra, Dec. 23, GNA - Activities at the Ghana Stock Exchange (GSE) remained dull on the last day of trading before Christmas, with the main stock index inching up by a mere 0.08 points.

The GSE All-Share Index, the main stock index, en ded at 4,751.25 from Thursday's 4,751.17 points.

Change for the year was better at -30.11 per cent and market capitalisation was also richer at 91,810.19 billion cedis from 91,809.98 billion cedis.

Total shares that changed hands ended up at 250,100 from 66,200 on Thursday.

On the broader market, there were only two price changes. Aluworks gained one cedi at 5,002 cedis while Guinness Ghana Breweries Limited also gained one cedi at 7,737 cedis.
