Accra bourse dips

Accra, Sept. 9, GNA - The Ghana Stock Exchange (GSE) All-Share Index, the main market indicator, dropped 14.54 points from 6,779.26 points to 6,764.72 points during Thursday's trading.

The Change Year to Date now stands at 21.40 per cent.

Traded volume closed the session at 181,068 shares valued at GH¢183,254.77.

Of the 14 equities that sold shares, Cal Bank Limited (CAL) led the pack with 123,500 of its shares valued at GH¢35,417.00.

On the broader market, there were seven price changes, four positives and three negatives. CAL, Standard Chartered Bank Ghana Limited (SCB), SG-SSB Limited (SG-SSB) and UT Bank Limited gained GH¢0.01 each to close at GH¢0.29; GH¢43.16; GH¢0.70 and GH¢0.26 in that order.

Ghana Commercial Bank Limited (GCB) lost GH¢0.05 to close at GH¢1.80; HFC Bank (Ghana) Limited (HFC) lost GH¢0.03 to close at GH¢0.49 and Ecobank Ghana Limited (EBG) depreciated by GH¢0.01 to close at GH¢2.99.

Market Capitalisation closed the session at GH¢18,611.71 million from GH¢18,622.90 million issued shares.
