Accra bourse continues upward surge

Accra, May 14, GNA - The Ghana Stock Exchange wrapped up another successful week on Friday with the GSE-All Share Index, the main market measure, closing 56 points higher at 6,756.08 points. Traded volumes stood at 1,633,600 shares on the back of Ghana Brewery Limited that sold 1,323,500 shares. The change for the year to date is 90.13 points.

On the broader market, there were seven positive price changes. Trust Bank Limited (TBL) led the pack with a gain of 2,000 cedis to close at 30,000 cedis; SG-SSB went up a modest one cedi at 31,003 cedis; Home Finance Company went up four cedis at 10,055 cedis and Guinness Ghana Limited (GGL) was higher by 100 cedis at 11,600 cedis. Cocoa Processing Company gained 68 cedis at 1,650 cedis, CFAO was up five cedis at 95 cedis and Accra Brewery Limited gained 46 cedis at 700 cedis.

Market Capitalisation rose to 96,189.38 billion cedis from 3,293.08 million issued shares.
