Accra bourse continues impressive strides

Accra, June 11, GNA - The Ghana Stock Exchange continues its impressive run on Wednesday with the (GSE) All-Share Index, the benchmark measure of the bourse, going up by 29.16 points.

The index rallied on the back of price gains in the various financial stocks to close at 10,067.66 points.

Change for the year to date now stands at 52.55 per cent. Traded volumes closed the session at 276,000 shares up from 242, 200 shares on Tuesday.

There were six price appreciations. Fan Milk Limited (FML) gained GH¢ 0.01 to close at GH¢ 3.52, State Insurance Company (SIC) was GH¢ 0.01 richer at GH¢ 0.63 and Ghana Oil company (GOIL) was up GH¢ 0.03 to close at GH¢ 0.35.

Other gainers were Enterprise Insurance Company Limited (EIC) with a rise of GH¢ 0.01 at GH¢ 2.22, Guinness Ghana Brewery Limited (GGBL) gained GH¢ 0.01 at GH¢ 2.07 and Ecobank Ghana went up by GH¢ 0.05 at GH¢ 3.42. Market capitalisation now stands at GH¢ 15,405.55 million.
