Accra bourse closes flat

Accra, March 23, GNA - The main index of the Accra Bourse slumped in trading on Monday on the loss of Ecobank Transnational Inc (ETI). The GSE All-Share Index, the benchmark measure of performance of the Ghana Stock Exchange (GSE), lost 119.85 points at 9,531.64 points from 9,651.49 points on Friday. Change for the year dropped to -8.63 per cent from -7.48 per cent. Market capitalisation was also down at GH¢18,248.14 million from GH¢18,330.32 million. Traded volumes went up at 70,600 shares from 57,600 shares on Friday. On the broader market, there was one price change, a GH¢0.01 loss of ETI at GH¢0.44.
