Accra Joins Uber Operational African cities

According to Curtis the services will commence operations in Ghana this Saturday, June 11, 2016. and new users who sign up for Uber with the promo will get GHS 1.70 plus GHS 1.30 per kilometer and GHS 19 pesweas per minute. The minimum fare for the service is GHS 5 and it will you cost you GHS 5 if you cancel a booking -

In Addition to the launch in Accra ,Uber , will be providing free rides. Ghanaians can try out the new service by accessing their complimentary rides on the Uber app.

To be eligible for Uber services, and enjoy free rides, the only option is to download the Uber application and enter the promo code MoveGhana in order to access free rides..

Free rides are available from Thursday 9 June at 12:00 until Sunday 12 June at midnight.
Users are limited to a total of 6 free rides and each trip is limited to maximum of GHS 20 each.

To date the Uber network is currently available in over many cities across 54 countries and 6 continents.
However,South Africa, Nigeria, Egypt and Kenya Uganda are the Africa countries which currently have Uber services.
