Accra City Hotel, a multiple award-winning Ghanaian Four-star brand is set to begin the construction of a multi-purpose facility aimed at attracting and hosting top-notch local and international events.

The ultra-modern five-storey facility is designed to enhance the services currently available at the hotel.

The vision is phenomenal and the enhancements include a plush 400-seater conference hall, leisure amenities, a speciality/ themed restaurant, cinema, state of the art gym equipment as well as a classy sky-bar with breath-taking views overlooking the business enclave of Accra.

Construction is expected to be completed in 18 months.

At the sod-cutting ceremony in Accra, Mr. Emmanuel Abraham Folson (Chairman of the Board, Accra City Hotel) disclosed the purpose of the new project. Ultimately, it is the vision of the Board to position the hotel as the leading four-star brand in the country.

“We want to position Accra City Hotel as the epicenter of the hospitality industry. It is already leading in the four-star category, but we are determined to make it a hotel that best typifies Ghanaian hospitality.

We believe that this new phase of development is what we need to reach that goal”, he hinted the media.

In an interview with the Executive Director of Accra City Hotel, Mr. Emmanuel Adu-Sarkodee, he revealed that the hotel will continue to embark on various initiatives and projects that will not only distinguish itself but also tout Ghana’s credentials as the preferred leisure and business destination in the sub-region.

“On completion, there will be a new Accra City Hotel, a hotel that can meet every hospitality and leisure demand of any magnitude, from the local to the international market”.

Mr. Roman Krabel, the General Manager of the hotel, added his voice and assured all stakeholders that the hotel has made adequate arrangements for all guests to continue to enjoy uninterrupted service, while construction is ongoing.

He stated that “our guests can rest assured that the construction will neither affect our operations nor their service experience”.
