Accra Bourse maintains steady rise

Accra, Aug. 18, GNA - The main index of the Ghana Stock Exchange (GSE) maintained its steady rise in trading on Friday closing marginally higher in poor trading that saw only 22,100 shares changing hands. The GSE All Share Index, the main stock index, went up by 0.43 points at 4,879.38 points from 4,878.95 points on Thursday. Change for the year ended at 2.31 per cent.

There were two price changes, both gains. ECOBANK and Guinness Ghana Brewery Limited gained four cedis each at 11,800 cedis and 9,238 cedis, respectively. Total shares traded ended at a low 22,100 while Market Capitalisation was 97,419.84 billion cedis.
