AMA chases indebted businesses

The Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA) has stepped up its revenue mobilisation drive by retrieving monies owed by businesses operating in the city.

A statement signed by Sam Ayeh-Datey, Metro Co-ordinating Director, said: “The AMA wishes to inform all business and property owners that it has begun its 2017 revenue mobilisation exercise to collect all monies owed the assembly.

“Businesses and property owners are advised in their own interest to leave receipts of payments behind when leaving their businesses or premises since the assembly will not entertain any excuses.

“Property owners are to note that AMA collectors would be working during early hours of the day and on weekends to ensure that all monies owed the assembly are collected. Additionally, rate payers are requested to support this very important exercise to enable the assembly carry out its metropolitan duties.”
