ADB leverages technology to enhance customer experience at Kwahu Business Forum

The Agricultural Development Bank (ADB) harnessed technology to elevate customer experience at the Kwahu Business Forum, held on Saturday, April 19, 2025, in Mpraeso, Eastern Region.

This high-level business forum brought together financial institutions, private sector leaders, MSMEs, government officials, and global businesses as part of the broader Kwahu Easter Business Dialogue, under the theme: “The Future of Business: The Role of the Financial Sector.”

ADB’s exhibition booth drew significant foot traffic throughout the forum, largely due to the deployment of a fully digitized customer onboarding platform. The Bank combined innovative technology with professional service to deliver an exceptional customer experience.

Visitors were able to open accounts instantly using a simplified, paperless platform developed in-house. Each new customer also received a complimentary Visa Prepaid Card, activated on the spot, granting immediate access to the Bank’s comprehensive suite of digital services.

Speaking on the sidelines of the event, ADB’s Managing Director, Edward Ato Sarpong, stated that the Bank is undergoing a strategic transformation aimed at positioning itself as an innovative financial institution.

“The Kwahu Business Forum is a strategic platform, and ADB is proud to demonstrate our commitment to inclusive banking by bringing technology closer to the people,” he said.

“The successful rollout of our internally developed digital onboarding platform at such a prominent national event signals our readiness to embrace technology and lead the transformation of financial service delivery in Ghana,” he added.

ADB is currently identifying strategic and potentially viable micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) that participated in the forum, with the aim of offering them tailor-made financial services to support their growth and expansion.

As a universal bank, ADB offers a wide range of products and services across all market segments, including agribusiness, asset finance, corporate banking, electronic banking, global remittance services, institutional and public sector banking, and trade services. The Bank operates 89 networked branches across the country.
