Prize-winners at the just ended Association of Chartered Certified Accountants’ ‘Students Summit and Job Fair’ have expressed their joy for the feat they have accomplished in their lives.
Overall best affiliate for the December sitting, Lydia Ohemaa Boadi recalled how she had to register in another country with a different time zone from Ghana because she couldn’t meet the deadline for registration for one of her papers.
She said her completion of the ACCA exams and the awards are just the beginning of great things she looks forward to.
She said, “this is a first step, it’s a great first step, it’s a good spring board but even more importantly it’s about getting digital, it’s about learning about automated accounting because most of these processes are going to become automated”.
Two other prize-winners who spoke to Ghanaweb also expressed their excitement with the awards which they believe was a result of their hard work and determination.
Fourteen students each from the ACCA’s September 2016, December 2016 and March 2017 exams sittings were awarded for coming first among their Ghanaian colleagues in the exams and also being part of the best among those who sat for the exams worldwide.
The 'Students Summit and Job Fair' was organised at the Accra International Conference Centre on Friday, July 14, 2017.
