6th Ghana Build Exhibition fair launched; scheduled for November 15

Management of the Esty Shipping Company Limited have launched the 6th edition of Ghana Builds International Trade Exhibition fair which will come off on November 15 to 17 at the Accra International Trade Fair Centre.

The three-day event, which is expected to boost the country’s infrastructural development, is in collaboration with the Ghana Embassy in Turkey under the auspice of the Ministry of Trade and Industry with support from the Ministry of Works and Housing.

Held annually, this year’s event will witness over 108 exhibitors from across the world including countries like Turkey, Asia, South Africa, Nigeria and the United Kingdom.

Speaking at the launch, Corporate Member of the Chartered Institute of Building, Peter David Quartey said they were optimistic the fair will help foster partnership and synergy between the Government of Ghana and the Government of Turkey through the private sector.

He said, “This year, it is expected that over 5,000 visitors comprising of investors, business communities, diplomats, contractors, professionals in the building industry, high powered government delegation, manufacturers among others. Also on display will be new construction methods, innovations and technology adaptation, all using foreign expertise but local wisdom.”

He further outlined some activities planned for the exhibition.

“The three-day event is fully packed. There will be business to business group meetings, technical seminars and matchmaking sessions. The special guest of honour is the Minister for Works and Housing, Honorable Atta Akyea and the President for the Ghana Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Nana Dr. Appeagyei Danka Woso I. Guest speakers will include Deputy Minister of Trade and Industry, Carlos Ahenkorah and Chairman of the Ghana Chamber of Construction Industry, Professor Nene Emmanuel Martey,” he disclosed.

On his part, Head of Marketing and Public Relations for the Accra International Trade Fair Centre, Asamoah Baffour Oscar urged the business community to take advantage of the event and participate.
