65-year-old farmer wins GHC200,000 from MTN M’ahiti promotion

A sixty-five year old cocoa farmer, Joseph Enchil takes home GHC 200,000.00 as he emerges as winner for the MTN M’ahiti Promo.

The farmer emerged as the grand winner for the promotion which has been running since February as several customers won several prizes.

The presentation was made at the MTN head offices in Accra where another customer also took home GHC20, 000 whiles others won Samsung S7 and iPhone 7 phones.

Mr. Enchil expressed his excitement over winning the grand prize and mentioned that he will use the amount to expand his cocoa farm, build a house and also cater for his wife who is suffering from stroke.

Speaking at the event, the Chief marketing Officer, Mr. Asher Khan said the promotion involved participating in an SMS trivial game and was with authorization and supervision of NLA.

He expressed his appreciation to all customers who partook in the M’ahiti Promo and also thank the National Lottery Authority for their supervisory role played throughout the promo.

Giving an account of the how far the promo has come, he said that four customers won GHC 20,000 each as monthly prizes and over 50 subscribers won Samsung S7 and iPhone 7 phones.

“Each day throughout the promotion, airtime was distributed, with customers winning airtime worth GHC100,000” he added.

Mr. Khan also mentioned that beyond promotions, MTN has taken delight in giving back to society through volunteer programs like the just ended 21 Days of Y’ello Care.

The program which he said was under the theme Investing in Education for All saw MTN employees engage directly in several educational projects to transform community.
