Phil-Manuel Kpobi, a 12-year-old Ghanaian student from Sterling International School, has developed an innovative mobile application designed to connect farmers directly with traders, Graphic Online reports.

Phil, who is also a member of the Ghana Code Club, built the “Agro App” using the Python-based Flet framework.

The application is designed to streamline the farm-to-market process, reduce post-harvest losses, and ensure fair pricing for both farmers and buyers.

According to Graphic Online, some of the Agro App’s impressive features include:

Online Produce Listings – Farmers can easily list their available crops for sale.

Location-Based Search – Traders can find nearby farms and products based on their location.

Built-In Chat – Real-time messaging between farmers and buyers for smooth communication.

Order and Delivery Tracking – Users can track transactions from order placement to delivery.

Integrated Mobile Payments – Secure payments through local mobile money platforms.

Photo Uploads – Farmers can upload images of their produce to attract buyers.

Phil-Manuel’s ingenuity, coding skills, and passion for solving real-world challenges through technology have earned him widespread recognition.

He recently won the Favourite Project Award at the Coolest Projects Ghana showcase for 2025.
